Mr. Harvey taught us about music, about how important it was to help one another, and how to not give up.
Gregory Harvey was one of the co-directors of the Dalton Academy Warblers. He was taller and older then Sylvia Medel, with warm brown eyes, and a deep voice. He was quiet and calculating.
He had been a Windsor once. He was Greg of Windsor House once. He knew what it was like to hold on to a group of boys to call family.
"He was…well he was the kind of teacher that just let everyone in without minding what they were like on first impression. " -Dwight Houston.
He really didn’t see us with any kind of distinctions. Windsor, Stuart, Hanover, day student… Even those who don’t really take his classes. All of us were kind of his kids." -Dwight Houston.
The Warblers knew this better than anyone else. That’s why he…he didn’t want to lose a single one permanently. Even when…even when it seemed as though they were more trouble than they were worth. He stood up for them…and protected them when he could." -Dwight Houston.
Gregory, although he was married, was soon to have a baby with Mrs. Medel.
Greg entered the burning Art Building without hesitation to try and save his boys, and managed to save Dwight just in time. He let Dwight go through to the window, knowing he couldn't be saved himself.
He died of suffocation before the flames even reached him.
