John Logan Wright III, known better as Logan, is the prefect of Stuart House and a Warbler. He was a long-running lead soloist until Blaine gathered the courage to vocally duel him for the spot and won it, after which Logan stopped trying out for the solos.
Logan is on medication, which he may or may not take at will, for a violent temper and near psychopathic behavior. He is in love with Kurt Hummel, although it's not yet clear whether it's because of Kurt himself, or because he knows Blaine is in love with him. He manipulates situations easily, and loves a challenge. Despite all this, he is a gifted singer and piano player. He has a romantic past with Blaine, and it did not go well, to say the least. He fences, as does Blaine, and their matches (and any sort of contact between them) tend to get rather heated. His father is John Logan Wright, Jr., a U.S. Senator. As stated, his father is Senator John Logan Wright, Jr., and it would appear that Logan's home life is very strained. His father possibly fearing the backlash resulting from having not only such an openly gay son but also a dangerous one (owing to his fits of anger and outbursts), especially during campaign period, has apparently dropped Logan into Dalton Academy where he could be out of the media eye and scrutiny. Senator Wright and his wife are divorced, and Logan has never spoken of his mother, but it is generally understood that she is hardly a part of his life any longer. Currently, Logan has a stepmother, Michelle, who is the Senator's new, young wife, and seemingly not a very bright one. However, she also seems to be the only person in the Wright household who genuinely likes Logan. Logan has also apparently willingly come out to his dad previously, but his father was hardly paying attention. Thus, results of Logan's homosexuality (perhaps people got wind of him seeing other boys), as Logan took his non-reaction to be a "do whatever you want" response, still surprised the senator. It has also been expressed that Logan went to the same junior high as the Brightman Twins. They had apparently been friends previously, being two of the only people able to really call themselves friends of Logan, and then they all moved to Dalton Academy, where they were placed in separate houses, and became distant. Logan was placed in Stuart House, the "achievers", and is to this day kept at arm's length by his fellow dorm members. It might be suggested that Logan was Prefect not only because of his father's influence but also because none of the other heavily-loaded academic-minded Stuarts were ready to take on the job. Logan appears to be a very good student in Academics and he continues to be one of the best soloists the Warblers have. He has repeatedly snagged lead roles in Warbler performances, until time came when he "lost interest". His best friends in Dalton remain the same ones he'd had since Freshman year: Derek Seigerson, son of a big construction magnate, and Julian Larson, Dalton's own celebrity. Neither of them are Warblers (Derek has sports on the focus, and Julian comes and goes due to his acting career), but they spend most of their time with Logan (and are also two of the very few people able to tolerate his rapidly-changing personality). Logan is openly gay throughout the school, and he dated Blaine Anderson in their sophomore year. However, things went downhill after Logan's personality and his inability to cope with competition got the better of him. He also began to pursue the as of yet unnamed second soloist who is a mutual friend of his and Blaine's. It's been suggested that violent fights took place in the last year, causing the massive rift currently between Blaine and Logan (and in Windsor and Stuart, worsening the already traditional rivalry between houses). The second soloist also fell prey to Logan's temperament, and was instead apparently chased right out of Dalton due to Logan's manipulations. Logan was said to have been expelled at some point, but was returned rapidly due to the intervention of his powerful father. Third year found Logan relatively sedated and quiet, and still not taking leads in spite of being the Warblers' best voice. This was the time Kurt Hummel transferred to Dalton Academy from McKinley High. While Logan admits that he didn't think much of Kurt at first, not knowing him, prior to the transfer, Logan fell for him after a performance they shared in Warblers' Hall. Since then, he has single-mindedly pursued Kurt, refusing to let anyone tell him otherwise, and in spite of the fact that Kurt is clearly more enamored with Blaine. This only served to make Logan worse, both wanting Kurt and now with the double stress of refusing to lose to Blaine. He has made many different moves in an attempt to win Kurt over, and during the course of this time, it is finally revealed that Logan takes medication (a fact that even Blaine knew nothing about) to sedate him, reducing him to a hazy, numbed, unfeeling person which he wholeheartedly dislikes and loathes himself for. Events following, he begins taking the medication (regularity is on and off), and it (and he) continues to complicate matters for the relationship between him, Blaine, and their fight for Kurt. |
Life Before Dalton
Facts about Logan
Most embarrassing moment in another country:
It’s always awkward when foreign girls try to hit on me and I have to explain that I don’t play for their team. Especially if they’re really persistent.
Derek speaks foreign languages better than me and Julian do, so I had to be rescued by Derek repeatedly one time when he had to clarify to the girls that I wasn’t interested. Singing at HomeMichelle knows Logan sings. Logan loses his voice when Johnny is home. He stops and falls into a wrathful quiet. He plays music, but he doesn't sing. But when Johnny is away, Michelle would sometimes be in the kitchen trying to figure out what the difference was between cupcakes and muffins and she'll hear the piano play and she'll hear Logan sing.
So while Johnny may not know Logan sings, Michelle sure does. Of course, after the song ends, she'll all be "YAAAAAY" clapclapclap like crazy and become overenthusiastic again and Logan would roll his eyes and try to make a break for it. On his allergies:
(laughs a little) I think I might have scared D and Jules at some point a little like that. I think it was early sophomore year… Someone handed me a candy bar that had peanut butter in it.
I started having the reaction and everyone panicked—but I think Jules knew immediately, because he demanded to know where my epi pen was. He came back with it and I was able to recover. FlowersMost of the flowers in Julian's hospital room had come from fans who had innocuously sent roses. When Logan was allowed access in, he told Carmen to get rid of them. All of them. Anyway...there was a flower left from Logan. It's an odd one, not one you see given to people casually. "Lily of the Valley" which means 'return to happiness.'
Of course, there's another meaning to lily of the valley; "You have made my life complete." Only Derek knew he sent it and his reaction was wanting to smack him upside the head, "You're gonna give him a flower and you leave a poisonous one? Oh great job, Lo." CP on the most intimate Stuart Trio moment:Freshman year, Derek and Julian found out for the first time how badly Logan’s situation with his father was. It involved a lot of screaming from both Wrights and culminated with Senator Wright saying some choice barbs before leaving.
Lo was so angry he couldn’t think or move or do anything, and D and Jules of them pulled him back from that state and stayed with him all night in the same room, mainly talking about their families and the different situations they all had. In the middle of the night, Logan got up and took a walk on the rooftop. Derek was still asleep, but Julian went up after him. Unlike Derek, who would’ve immediately assumed that Logan would do something stupid like maybe hurling himself off it, Julian simply sat by the roof access door with a blanket and let Logan walk around the rooftop. Presently, Logan saw him and wanted to know why he was awake. Julian only replied that it was because Logan was awake, and asked why he was awake. And he only answered that it was because he couldn’t get back to sleep. It was a satisfactory answer to both and they stayed up in silence. Logan passed out first. When he woke up, he had Julian’s blanket and Jules was gone, and it was morning and Derek was glaring down at him. Jules was asleep like a cat in the living room. Stuart Trio FriendshipDerek was rather impressed with how well Julian took Logan's behavior. Derek was sure that the "new" Logan would turn off someone as diva-tastic as Julian can be. But Julian stuck by them too, and Derek really respected that. He knows that there really aren't many people who would. So he looks after Julian too, because that kind of loyalty and friendship is something Derek really holds on to.
Something all three of them do, to be honest. Maybe Derek knew that he'd found certain friends that first night the three of them gathered in Stuart at midnight, drinking coffee. He thought they were an odd bunch--the perfection-driven athlete, the angry gay singer, the workaholic primadonna... But hey, whatever worked. Sick DerekOne time, D’s manic overworking in sports, academics and girls finally got him sick. When Lo and Jules went down to get their morning dosage of caffeine and didn’t find D already there and reading through something, they knew something was wrong. So they went upstairs and they heard a cough inside D’s room, and then they went in all smug as though they had waiting for this very day for a long long time.
They forced D to stay in bed. He wasn’t happy, he was furious. And he had a billion instructions for them to tell eveyone in his lab group/class/team/etc, and he made them pass all his work for the day, but Lo and Jules got their own back when they rubbed it in his face that he was working to hard and he had to be helped to sit up to eat and all that… :D Really, Lo and Jules make terrible (yet competent) doctors for the day. Another Stuart Trio MomentJulian was sitting, waiting in his room, looking very tense. He was staring at his cell phone, which was in the middle of the table. That was how Logan found him, and Logan looked at Derek and asked, "How long has it been since he's moved?" "Uh, about three hours," Derek rolled his eyes. "His limbs are going to atrophy." Julian didn't seem to hear and just kept staring at his phone like he was waiting for it to explode. Logan walked in and set a cup of coffee down next to Julian. Julian blinked but did not move. "You're seriously just going to sit there staring all day?"
Logan demanded, irritated, arms crossed over his chest. No reply from the actor. Derek shook his head and said, "You have to relax. It's not life or death." Julian's eyes glinted with venom when he looked at Derek. Derek threw up his hands and walked away from the door, rolling his eyes. Logan sighed and sat on Julian's bed. "He's right." "Shutup." Julian replied, barely moving his lips. His eyes were refocused onto the phone. Logan added, "And for the record, I still don't approve of this." "Your concern is noted," Julian muttered. After a long pause, Logan said in a different tone, "...they'd be crazy not to want you." Julian didn't reply, but his shoulders relaxed slightly at the words. The two of them were quiet. Until the phone's ring broke the stillness and Julian jumped, and he fell off the chair with a gasp. Logan took the opportunity and scooped up the phone. Julian jumped up, livid. "Give me that!!" he yelled, and Logan easily held it out of his reach. "Logan, give it back!!" "No, not until you calm down!" Logan replied, struggling to keep it away from him, amusement in his eyes. "Oh that's rich, coming from you?!" Julian flushed as he tried to struggling against Logan for the phone. He jumped him. The two of them landed onto the floor, still struggling and fighting over the floor, yelling enough to get Derek running back to the door. He took one look at the scene and groaned. "Logan, just give him back the stupid phone, you know he's not going to give it a rest until he finds out." Logan sat up, his blond hair a mess and Julian did the same, also looking disheveled. Flushed, he grabbed the phone from Logan who looked far too amused. Hastily, Julian checked the phone. Derek raised an eyebrow as Logan sat, trying to catch his breath. Julian sat back on his heels, staring at his phone in silence. "Well?" Logan finally asked. "What did they say?" Julian didn't move. Logan nudged him. "Come on, just tell us already." Julian raised his eyes to his two friends and didn't have to say anything. Derek started to laugh and Logan grinned. Julian leapt onto the nearest person, who was still Logan, of course, screaming. "I've got a Golden Globe nomination oh my GOD!!" and he released his startled, laughing friend and started bouncing off walls. Logan got up, shaking his head with a laugh as Derek kept laughing from the doorway. He threw a pillow at Julian. "Idiot, we told you so." |
Life At Dalton
Important PeopleJulian Larson-ArmstrongJulian is Logan's second friend, having met him at Freshman Orientation, and Julian had been the only person brazen enough to sit next to him. Logan and Julian squabble a great deal more than Logan and Derek do, owing to the clash of Logan's cold, vindictive attitude to Julian's harsh, almost diva-like one.
Julian seems to take the time, however, to support Logan no matter what, and even goes out of his way to mend his broken relationships if he could, before vanishing again to another shoot or movie. It is revealed later that Julian has been in love with Logan since Freshman year, and is mainly unable to say it because he knows Logan will always overlook him. In that he is right: Logan has not considered the matter, and at present continues to remain oblivious. Fun Facts
Blaine AndersonIn spite of the terrible events that took place between him and Blaine, Logan seems to hold Blaine in a degree of certain respect that he doesn't give anyone else.
He continues to talk to him civilly, albeit with veiled hints each time, and he continues to set Blaine apart from the other Windsors (who he thinks very little of). He retains a competitive streak with Blaine, not to be defeated in some aspects, and they continue to clash especially with their fight for Kurt ongoing. However, Logan may not feel hate completely towards Blaine, as it is revealed in the incident when Blaine's brother Shane disappeared that it was Logan who called for the backup searchers to expand the search. He was medicated when he spoke to Blaine, but it was still he who seems to know Blaine the best, finding him when he was gone. He adds that he had done what he did because, in case Blaine might have forgotten, "he had loved him once". He then adds that he didn't want Kurt to worry over Blaine either, it was a waste. Fun Facts
Casey Lambert"I thought Casey was pretty good for D. She certainly didn’t take any of his BS. She kept him in line, surprisingly, and he seemed to like that she can take him."
Evan and Ethan BrightmanThe Twins don’t hate Logan because they’ve known him the longest. They went to the same Junior High with him. The thing is, the three DO get along. The Twins were the first people to take Logan for who he was and befriend him—and unlike people who swarmed up to Logan in Junior High, they didn’t befriend him because of his father’s influence. And they were the first people to ever protect Logan from his father.
In their freshman year at Dalton, they were sent to Windsor, and Logan was sent to Stuart. They became distant. That happens to friends often. They talked once in a while, in the halls, and weren’t really close anymore—and they didn’t actually start really talking again until the events following the issue with Blaine. Hence Logan’s comment in one of the episodes, “We were ever civil?” I think he and the Twins took it that when high school happened, things changed. But from what you’ve seen in the season so far—the Twins go out of their way to keep him out of the line of fire now and again, and show him exceptions (like how they backed off when they heard Logan really was in love with Kurt and not just in it to mess Blaine up.) Fun Facts
Reed Van Kamp"I think Reed’s all right. He’s probably scared of me half to death, but at least he doesn’t completely hate me among the people at Windsor. I’m thinking that brother of Blaine’s better take care of him—he’s always in the clinic wing. He needs some serious coordination skills."
KurtKurt is Logan's continued unrequited love--unrequited to a certain degree, as it appears that while Kurt does care for Logan's well being (especially after the terrible toll the medication takes on him), he does not look at him romantically, in the way that Logan looks at him.
He has continued to rebuff Logan's advances to him, very taken with Blaine and assuring him that it was unlikely to change. Kurt is one of the very few Windsors who really care about what happens to Logan, and he takes pains to try and help him in spite of his awareness of the misunderstandings it will cause. Logan cares very deeply for Kurt, going out of his way to confront Karofsky after Sectionals, sending him presents, and generally looking after him from time to time. He fully believes that he is in love with Kurt (as he tells many people), and it continues to pain him that Kurt would continue to rebuff him and simply loves Blaine more than he loves him. Fun Facts
DerekDerek was apparently his first Dalton friend, being his roommate. To Logan, Derek is too hell bent on balancing out everything in his heavily cluttered life (school, academics, sports, and an endless string of girlfriends, many of whom happen at the same time).
To Derek, Logan needs him as a ballast to calm his tempers and keep him in line, resulting in Logan accusing him more than once of being a mother. They are very good friends, sniping aside, understanding each other very well after years of friendship. Stuart Trio
Michelle's BirthdayThe biggest thing Logan may have done for her would be for her birthday. He really messed with her head then. He arrived eating these big chocolate covered strawberries, which were Michelle's weakness the way cookies were Windsors'. And he absolutely refused to give her any.
He just kept eating them all. So Michelle wanted some and tried to call their usual organic grocer for strawberries but the store was all out. And she tried their favorite chocolatier and found none their either. It was like Logan had the last box of chocolate covered strawberries in the whole upper east side. And Logan was just there in the living room, watching TV and devouring them all. Michelle was all pouty and Logan literally just ignored her and ate every last one. But she found a big chocolate covered strawberry on a little plate on the table next to the door of her room, and it said happy birthday. She was nomming it when she went into her room and found a million chocolate covered strawberries in it. She was squealing her head off like a little girl. Of course, Logan regretted giving her that much candy after--since she gorged until she felt sick. And there were strawberries everywhere. Back at HomeIn the time Logan spent corralled back in the Wrights', he was a complete tempest. He was still very angry, and when he was medicated, he was mute. Michelle didn't let that get in the way though, no. That was her baby and he was hurting and mommy was going to be there for him whether he liked it or not. So when she would knock on his door and offer some nice dinner and Logan would yell he didn't want it, she'd sit on the chair in the hall and wait.
And presently, Logan would want dinner because he hasn't eaten anything and she'll give it to him. And when Logan is all quiet and medicated and staring at nothing, she'll hug him. He wouldn't respond, but she'll hug him anyway. "Don't worry, Logan, we'll get you back to your friends soon." In the meantime, she'd call Derek and Julian and then run to Logan, going, "Logan, guess who's on the phone!" and give him the phone, as she hurried off to leave him with his friends. And she'd peek in once in a while when she'd hear Logan talking, and maybe hear a soft snort or a short laugh, and she'd be happy. CP on Logan's love for Kurt:
He really is in love with Kurt, far more than he had ever been with anyone before (including Blaine and Joshua). He really fell for him and he fell hard. It's just happenstance that Kurt is dating Blaine now.
CP on who Logan loves more, Kurt or Julian:
I'm really sorry to say, but this is the truth: He'd say Kurt. Because Julian is one of his best friends, definitely. But he's IN LOVE with Kurt. So he'd say that he cares for Kurt a bit more.
It's not that he doesn't care for Julian--quite the contrary, in fact--but there's really just a difference between someone you consider your friend and someone you're really head over heels for. CP on Logan's PersonalityBut the point of Logan is, he’s fighting to change himself. He gets angry, he gets upset, and most of the time, because of his condition, he just can’t help it. And when he does take something to try and control it, he loses all semblance of being a human being by being unable to feel. This is not something he asks for—in fact he actively fights against it, for better or worse. It not okay that he’s hurting people. But he is fighting within himself to change that. Every day. He’s trying to make it through every day whole as a person. And the rest of the boys can obviously see that and are trying to help him find a way out of it, or at least rise above it a little further.
The comparison then becomes this: If a building is on fire, do you just run from it and let it worsen or spread? Or do you do something to help put it out? Michelle and Logan when he was SuspendedMichelle heard the complete report from the dean when Logan got suspended, and then she didn't say anything about it to Logan. She went to Johnny, though and said, "You have to do something to get Logan back to school!" And Johnny would be all, "Damn right I do, I don't think I'll find another school who'll take that boy in."
But Michelle said, "No, you have to put him back because he's already doing so good there! What if he misses his friends and gets sad?" And so Johnny and Michelle, for their individual reasons, got Logan back in school. Michelle on how her and Logan met:
"I first met Logan when Johnny brought me back to his place for the holidays. He was just there reading by himself and I was all "he looks just like Johnny! And he looked like such a smart kid! He was so quiet, though! So I worked on trying to be friends with him as much as I could! He looked like he needed someone to talk to in that big ol' place by himself. It was really tough though! (blinks)
He's a little...tense. Like Johnny. (giggles) Don't tell him I said that, he'll be sooo mad if I compare him to Johnny. (giggles) But anyway, it was so hard to try to get him to talk and at least relax or something! But I think I wore him down. Oh! And I watched a lot of Oprah and Tyra about how to get shy kids to talk more. (nodnodnod)" A Stuart Trio MomentWell…it started when Logan was having one of his…moments. It was the night before and he was worked up, and he neglected to do one of his papers. Same with Derek, who was the one who had to calm him down. (Julian was out cold.) and so then it was time to hand it in and they were going to catch hell for it. Julian knew what was happening when everyone else started taking out their papers
And his two friends were empty-handed. Of course, since he wasn’t able to contribute to helping last night, he felt he had to do something. So what he did was he pulled out his Sidekick, flipped through it, and erupted into hysterical tears. I’m talking actual he-could-win-awards-for-this kind of hysterical tears. Everyone was gaping at him, and the teacher was asking what was wrong—he sobbed something about his father, movies, career, threat of drugs, scandal, outward ruination—it was a big mishmash really and not very intelligible…and so the teacher got worried and tried to calm him down, and Julian started screaming at him in dramatic rage, and so then Logan and Derek took the cue, tried to grab him back, but he shook them off and swept out of the room, sobbing. And so of course, Lo and Derek were given permission to find the primadonna and calm him down. Lo and D made it to the next hall and found Julian straightening up his hair and Julian suggested they go out for lunch. To which Lo and D grinned and agreed to and they had a two hour lunch. Julian SleepingJulian can sleep anywhere. He'd just be sleeping there, in the corner, and Derek and Logan would find him there. Derek would take the water bottle and the headphones and Logan would scoop Julian up and carry him sleeping back to Stuart. He'd be too tired to wake up, really wake up. He'd stir a little, but Logan would shush him very gently and just keep carrying him.
And the Stuarts would look up when they would come in, and mouth, "What happened?" and Derek would just shake his head at them. They'd take him back to his room and set him back on his bed and let him sleep. He'd wake up disoriented, knowing that this wasn't where he fell asleep, but he'd see some food next to him and a note from Prefect Wong that he's not to attend class until properly recovered. And there'd be a postscript, written in Logan's familiar handwriting, "Not that we'd expect you to listen to him, but take it into account." And Julian would smile tiredly at the postscript not the Prefect's order, and he'd sink back into the pillows still holding the little note. Wet DreamIn his dream it was raining, and someone (Julian) came in all drenched from the rain, clothes clinging to his body...and then they walked up to each other and then they were going at it, clothes flying and all, throwing the other boy to the bed.. Basically he was almost about to lose himself when he woke up and found Julian sitting on the edge of his bed, trying to wake him.
It was pretty vivid, actually. All the contact, and the moaning and the sounds and the wanting... When he woke, he found it incredibly distressing and disconcerting that he liked it so much. And all that wanting. He was absolutely certain that in his conscious world, he had never felt like that towards him--only in the dream had it been that strong. Logan's BirthdayFor Logan’s birthday, he was at home in New York. Derek surprised him with a new keyboard (it’s the one in his room now). Julian was in Tokyo. He flew 12-hours nonstop (actually, 12 hours 53 minutes, but you get the drift) to make Logan’s birthday. He gave him a laptop. It was the kind of laptop that’s specifically made to handle and manipulate audio recordings and stuff.
They didn’t actually have a big party—Michelle fussed over them some, and they’d just started trying out Logan’s new stuff when they saw that Julian was passed out on the bed. Logan kind of just smiled, pulled a blanket over him and moved with Derek someplace else. They all went out and had dinner later on, though. |
Personal Life
Julian's MedicationIf Julian were to ever wake up, medication would be something Logan will be against. I mean, he'd know it was needed, he knows, but he wouldn't like it. As someone heavily medicated at some point, he wouldn't want that for Julian. I mean...to him, Julian's always this bright thing, bitchy and headstrong but he was lively and that smile...
It was why he was so bothered when that brightness started fading on the events leading to Hell Night and he didn't know why... And then to have him lose that through medication... I don't think he'll ever agree to it. On a fight with Julian:(sighs impatiently, not liking the subject) Yes, I threw him into a CD case that was standing in my room. And Derek takes it better because he’s stronger and not as…as delicate as that primadonna.
(glares back at his homework) …Julian doesn’t cry in front of anyone when it’s not on camera. The one time I saw him, it was a different occasion and he threw me out his room without a word. He didn’t talk about it ever. (pause) He also didn’t talk about me throwing him into a CD case ever. (tiredly rubbing his eyes) …I don’t know why either of them put up with me. On the nicest thing Julian's ever said to him:
(looks distantly a photograph of the three of them) …he said to me once, “Whether you like it or not, you’re stuck with me. With us. So deal with it.” (pause) …no one’s really lived up to it until now. Because I guess I put it to the test all the time.

Michelle and LoganJohnny's told Michelle that Logan hates being called at school from home, so he often doesn't answer. But when Logan does, and Michelle gets to talk to him, it's like the best thing EVER. She's probably run to twitter and facebook and go all, "I HAD A LONG CONVERSATION WITH MY SON TODAY~ HE'S DOING GREAT!" THAT kind of enthusiasm. It's the enthusiasm that would be tiring and annoying after awhile, but Michelle goes on like she was on sugar.
And D and Jules would catch the tweet and laugh and tease Logan about it, and Logan would get all huffy, but he finds it almost interesting that it happens every time he does something. Without fail. He'd even try to see if she really will do this with every little thing so that's why he sends candy on mother's day. And then she'd call him barely able to SPEAK because she's crying so hard because she's so happy that she got something on Mother's Day of all days. When asked if he was worried about Julian:(expression looking a little angry) Of course I’m worried! I’m still the damn Prefect and I want to know what the hell is going on! First he’s sick, then he’s suddenly out there running around again, he apparently doesn’t sleep, he snaps at people when they startle him for any reason, he’s impossible to talk to because he keeps spacing out—and he won’t let anyone except Derek into his room! I don’t know what the hell those two are doing, but they’re not telling me anything! If Julian keeps acting like an idiot and if Derek isn’t talking either, then they can go run off that cliff by themselves, I don’t even care anymore. (storms into his room and slams it shut)
Derek and Logan as KidsDerek and Logan grew up in the same gated community--but that's only as kids. They separated when Ernie moved the family away. Which is why Lo went to Lionscourt and D went elsewhere. It's why Derek and Lo sat next to each other in Freshman orientation. They remembered each other.
Derek was a little surprised by how much his friend had changed--but it's to the advantage of their friendship too: because Derek knows how good Logan can be, and how he can really be past the anger bursts. He knows that the little Logan he used to play with as a kid was still in there, just buried underneath all the issues. So he's sticking by him, thick and thin. Jousting All boys and some girls had a jousting competition. Everyone rode a horse, and used an eleven-foot log to try and knock off their opponents. Logan is jousting for House of Stuart. He came into the feast wearing a crown and leading the other Stuarts. He can ride horseback like the rest of them, and he's talented in sword fighting though he may have never jousted before. He has a lot of rage though so that may help, and he's also not an "I feel sorry" type of person when it comes to battle. The houses Windsor, Stuart, Hanover and Lancaster have agreed that whichever house "wins" will be served by all the other houses in a big cookout.
He was wearing silver armor. He said he hoped to go through to the finale if he could. Logan was facing David from Windsor. When the flag dropped, there was a huge impact and both lances shatter when both jousters make direct impact. Logan was thrown back from the impact on his shoulder. When people rushed over to see if he was okay, he was saying he couldn’t breathe. Derek stripped him of his armor to see if that would help which it did. When Julian ran over, Logan glared at him and told him he had to stay in the stands. Julian asked if he was going back out, and Logan nodded and said to put his armor back on. When both boys were okay to go again, the flag dropped and they raced forward. Both boys missed the shields and made another direct hit. Julian was thrown almost completely back onto his horse but he managed to stay on, which David slid off his horse. Logan won that round. Once more, Logan was struggling to breathe so Derek had to help him out of his armor so he could breathe again. In the second round, he was up against Sinclair from Haven. When the flag dropped, Logan’s lance shattered into Sinclair’s shield, while Sinclair’s smashed into Logan’s side. Logan cried out in pain at the impact to his ribs. When he rode back to his side, he said he had to take his armor off as it hurt too much. When they stripped him, there was a huge discoloured bruise on his ribcage, but he insisted they put more padding on and let him go again. He got back on his horse and rode out again. Because Julian was screaming at him from the sides, he got angry and drove the lance into Sinclair who went flying. Logan remained on his horse. When he got back to Stuart side, he fell off his horse and said the boys could fix him now. Derek was angry at him but Julian ran to him. |
Club DumasJulian and Logan read a book together once. Club Dumas, what they were reading. Logan was reading it, but he was dozing off. And the Julian found him and smirked and nudged him to move over so he could sit too. And he did and he told Logan he had better have the book read by tomorrow or Murdoch wasn't going to be thrilled. And Logan, though he was very tired, glared at him and said that he would read it, he could finish it by tonight.
And Julian smirked and said he'd read it with him because he needed to read it anyway, now move your arm so I can see. Where are you now anyway? And Logan says Corso had just met with Irene. And Julian nods because he's read that part and he leans against him and the two of them read. Logan reads faster than Julian does, but he waits until Julian's finger flicks the side of the page before he turns it. Eventually, Julian realizes that Logan had nodded off, and he decides to not wake him. He takes the book from him and reads some more and he ends up nodding off too at some point, the book between them. And Derek finds the two of them like that the next morning and he's a little frustrated because how these two ever get anything done is beyond him so he wakes them both carefully and between the three of them, they pretty much get the gist and timeline of events of the book and they all did pretty well in class that day. Stuart Trio SingingMichelle had heard Logan sing, at home, many times. She even heard him sing with Julian once or twice at their house. It wasn't a duet. It was just them singing along to the radio and then Logan moves over to the piano and he starts playing the song. It was a really casual thing, you know? Something you just do on a whim.
Derek doesn't sing, but he laughs at them. They sang Little Wonders once, even Derek hummed along a little. And they sang King of Everything while bouncing around the living room.It was right after the Senator left. Practicing LinesPre-Blaine. Julian borrowed Logan to practice lines for a movie. So they have this scene where Logan is supposed to be listening to Julian talk about something painful his character was going through. Julian is supposed to break down and become emotional. So he did. He totally cried and he looked at Logan like it WAS happening to him.
For a moment Logan was just staring at him because he looked too convincing. It took him a bit before he said what was supposed to be the next line and the scene ended. And then Julian just lapsed back to normal. The line was about not knowing what to do, about feeling lost, about wanting to give up. A Stuart Trio ConversationOne time in freshman year, Julian lay on the grass, letting the rain hit him.
Logan lay next to him and asked, “What are you doing?” “I like rain.” “…it’s cold.” You don’t have to stay out here.” And then Derek showed up and lay on the other side. “So what are we doing?” “Rain.” Logan answered. “Oh. …it’s cold.” Julian winced. “Would you guys just go inside, I’m trying to enjoy this!” The other two just laughed a little and stayed quiet. There was a long pause, where there was only the sound of rain drumming down on them. "You're really not going to leave, are you?" Julian finally asked, sighing. "Nope." Derek smiled. "And there's no way I can make you leave?" "You can try, but I'm not leaving here," Logan replied, closing his eyes. "And if /I/ leave instead?" Logan snorted again. "You? You're not going to leave. You couldn't if you tried." Derek smiled to himself as Julian rolled his eyes. The rain poured on. |
Formal EventsLogan had been coerced to be in some formal event thing with his father and there's a girl named Crystal there convinced she's marrying him. She THROWING herself on him. She's named their CHILDREN. D and Jules are so going to enjoy this. She named their children Claude, Octavius and twin girls named April and May because she loves those months.
The whole "I'm not really into vagina" thing doesn't seem to factor for her. Derek offered to take one for the team and go get this girl himself. Julian has misgivings about letting Derek take her for the team, because of his glorious track record and all, but all Derek had to say was, "Well I thought we've established that we're all not very nice people." Christmas Conversation*ring...ring...click*
"(groggy)...Hello...?" "Hey. Merry Christmas." "Whuh...Jules?" (sits up, checks clock) "...that's weirdly good timing. You really waited until--" "Yeah...I guess. You're in Paris, right? With your parents." "Yeah...(pause) I didn't think I'd hear from you, you haven't even been back at school yet--" "Yeah. ...Listen, uh...I'll just hear from you for New Years, okay?" "Yeah. Okay. Have a lot I want to talk to you about in school. There's someone--" "(interrupts)--yeah, yeah okay, I figured. Merry Christmas, okay?" (blink) "Yeah, okay. Good night." "Good night." *click* (sounds of sheets rustling, he returns to bed.) /other line/ (sighs) "...yeah, someone." (touches his wrist lightly) "Hey, kitten." "Hey yourself, stranger..." "...who was that? You look--" "Nevermind." (shakes head, shivers) "I'm okay, just...cold." "Yeah well..." (sighs, smiles at him) "...Merry Christmas, kitten." "...Merry Christmas, stranger." "...yeah, c'mere." (hugs him, whispers) "...five...six days left." (hugs back) "...yeah. Show me Paris. Show me the lights. Everything." (looks up at him) "...I want to stay here and forget." (smiles) "Let's see if I can't do something about that, then." First KissLogan's first kiss was in sixth grade with a brunette eight grader. Brett told him not to tell anyone. Logan said it was awkward, for Brett anyway because he wasn't sure if he liked guys. Brett was a jock, so it was a risk for him. Brett had asked Logan to meet him behind the gym at school.
There was a discussion before the kiss (on whether or not Logan was okay with it and if he could not tell anyone) Logan didn't tell anyone about the kiss for about a year, but dropped it in vengeance when Brett had it coming. Brett was tormenting another gay kid in the school, along with some other older students. Logan wasn't very thoughtful when he heard about it, especially when he heard that Brett was responsible for throwing said kid down a stairwell. He also threatened to do the same to Logan if Logan ever talked about what had happened behind the gym. Logan said it anyway. He's not an angel, he's not forgiving and he doesn't take kindly to threats. |
