General Facts

Riley and Jake got along as kids, but as they grew up, began to argue and fight.

When he was little, Riley would play with kids in the neighborhood and if someone was getting pushed around, Riley would get upset about it. The parents weren't sure where it came from, but they hoped that it was behavior that reflects well on their parenting?

Baby Riley keeps climbing out of his crib. He will always manage to get out of his crib and wander off somewhere.

When Riley was small, he gave his mom flowers. His mom was always very happy, and showed him how she put the flowers in a book so she would always have them. It sort of carried over to him. He still does it, but not always. I mean...it's not like he's been given any, right? Still, he does like taking a pretty one from a garden and putting it in the book.

As a kid, Riley's very clever, and very responsible as a big brother.

Personal Life

He's had a couple of girlfriends before but is currently single.

He lives in Columbus, OH, in a large three-storey house.

He lives with his parents.

Riley's had 2 girlfriends before.

Ace and Riley have been friends since middle school.

Ace and Isaac met at Dalton.

Riley has a lot of servants.

Riley has a younger brother, though they are close in age; Jake.

The Paiges recently had a family dinner. Jake and Riley began to argue and by the time it was over, everyone at the table was furious or upset. It had just started with snippy comments about things in the past then it escalated.

Riley is concerned abut Julian.

Jake and Riley do not get along.

Riley and Jake pretend that each other don't exist, though they fight a lot.

Riley is compared to a regal dragon; feirce, intense, and very protective of friends, classmates and those who have been hurt a lot.

Riley is very solid and can handle life and himself.

Riley is unpleasant when angry, although he is excellent in controlling himself.

Riley feels like his parents have spoiled Jake too much by letting him have his way.

Riley has always loved to read and learn new things.

Jake may be the reason Riley holds Logan with such a critical view. Maybe he sees Logan's temper and sees his brother.

He can sing, but he's already got a lot of work and the Warblers eat up a lot of time.

Riley's sexuality is solid. He's straight.

If Riley finds out about Jake and Ace, he'd be angry at both of them. Riley doesn't tolerate betrayal.

Riley was in a lot of pain after the joust. His injuries were worse than he let on, naturally. He's got some pretty wicked bruises and a lot of pain everywhere. His shoulder was strained and they were checking to make sure he didn't have hematoma.

One of Riley and Jake's maids is named Anna.

Riley compares himself to other people often.

Riley drives a Lamborghini Aventador.

Riley with a crush wouldn't be flustered or out of sorts. He'd hold himself in control. Probably smile and express some appreciation. He's not the "flustered" type.

Riley has the biggest flatscreen out of his friends - it has a personal theatre system.

When asked if he'd consider going for Riley, Julian answered that it'd depend on what Riley thought about it.

Riley's way of seduction is that he's not even aware he's doing it. He'd probably just be standing there.

Depends on what kind of a fight, but if Riley and Logan fenced, Lo will win. Fistfight, hard to tell.

Riley does Karate-Do.

The twins won't go for Riley because they don't play with that kind of fire. They say that although he's very talented, he's too powerful. They aren't intimidated by him, they treat him like any other prefect leader. He has this bank account and his parents just put money in it for allowance and stuff, and they often give him way way more than he actually needs every fortnight (the boy doesn't exactly use his"leisure time"), so he's perfectly fine with using it for things.

He is not fond of the twins. Too troublesome.

He reads by the pool sometimes.

If Colby or Terry was ever badly sunburned and asked for Riley's help rubbing on aloe vera, Riley would tell them to rub it on their damn selves.

Riley's favorite ice-cream is green tea

If Riley gets ice cream on his fingers, he uses a napkin rather than lick it off.

Ace, Riley and Jake once had ice cream together and they mixed in Bertie Botts jellybeans. Riley said it ruined the ice cream experience. Ace then explained that the put the jellybeans on their ice cream, but the flavors just clashed and they didn't know what kinds they got. Jake then threw up so they all swore they'd never do it again.

When all the boys got together to read scary stories to each other, Riley looked bored while the rest of the Lancasters were pretending to not be creeped out.

He does sing, but it's not his focus. He prefers making music through instruments.

Riley likes to sit in a garden with wisteria, soaking him with its scent.

Just a brief jog through the neighborhood before Riley comes back home for breakfast and getting ready for school. Which is why he's ALWAYS the one who catches Jake if he's sneaking in at dawn.

Breakfast for Riley: Depends on what's cooking. But he likes a hearty breakfast all the same. Stack of pancakes or waffles...some days scrambled eggs, toast and sausages...sometimes eggs and bacon... or a big bowl of cereal... You know, whatever's standard "breakfast". Not so much on the cereal, he's grossed out by the way Jake grabs the box in the morning, eats out of it with his hands and swills milk and then gone.

Riley has both Facebook and Twitter accounts. He lets only friends into his FB but anyone can follow his twitter. Riley isn't the type who just adds anyone.

Riley has a dragon pendant hanging from his bag strap.

Riley likes gold (the color).

Three things Lancasters want with them on a deserted island?: Unlimited length of rope, food, and water.

Lancaster's think that people are scarier than humans. Zombies are easy to take care of.

Lancaster's couldn't answer when asked favorite song - the question overloaded them.

Most borderline idiotic thing the Lancaster's have done: Run down the bad part of town to fish Jake out from the middle of some kind of shady club.

Riley listens to Haven.

Lancaster's are the type who think you shouldn't be ashamed of whatever it is you like.

Riley doesn't have any "crushes" in particular--he thinks someone is pretty and that's about it.

The last book Riley read and enjoyed was The Dumas Club / Club Dumas.

Riley likes to read fiction of various genres.

Riley likes to eat basically anything.

He'll be heading the family business in the future.

Riley's gotten into a fight and fractured something (because he was trying to get Jake out of the fight)

Riley has visited Julian in hospital, but briefly, since they weren't close and the family and closer friends should have the room.

Jousting

All boys and some girls had a jousting competition. Everyone rode a horse, and used an eleven-foot log to try and knock off their opponents. The houses Windsor, Stuart, Hanover and Lancaster have agreed that whichever house "wins" will be served by all the other houses in a big cookout. Riley is jousting for House of Lancaster. His shield had a dragon on it which matched his armor.

Riley was jousting against Spencer from Hanover. When the flag went down, Spencer hit Riley on his shield, but Riley drove his lance into Spencer’s chest. Riley hurt his shoulder but glared at his friends and insisted he was alright; he was refusing to be touched. Ace asked Jake if Riley was okay, and Jake told him that Riley was hurt but there was no way he was being talked out of competing again.

The other boys were insisting that Riley let them look at him, but he snatched up his lance and rode back to where he was meant to be. When the flag went down again, they raced forward and they both hit each other on the chests with equal force, the lances splintering. But Spencer flipped backwards and landed off his horse, slamming to the ground. Although Riley was really hurt, he didn’t call out in pain as the horse trotted back to Lancaster side.

When he dismounted, he finally let his friends pull his armor off and make sure he was okay. For round two, he was facing off against Sebastian from Stuart. They collided as their lances smashed into each other’s chests, both trying to unhorse the other. Riley was almost thrown sideways.

When he made it back, he was clutching his chest, rigid with trying to hold back his pain. He was pale and shaking but swatted Terry away when he tried to help. Riley kept saying he was alright, so Terry got mad and punched him in the shoulder, which made him buckle with pain. Isaac then removed the spaulder and cuirass to see his shoulder which was discoloured all the way down to his chest.

Riley said that since he wasn’t bleeding, he could continue. For round two, they collided as Sebastian’s lance hit Riley’s shoulder, and Riley’s lance hit Sebastian in the chest. But where Riley just barely grabbed the reins, Sebastian got thrown to the ground.

Jake, Riley and Ace

Paige house: Riley's expression is dark and angry, but he's silent--Jake is the the struggling and looking downright furious.

Jake finally tears free in the living room, "What the fuck is wrong with you?! You're not my goddamn father!!"

Riley speaks, angry, but in a quiet way, "What did you even think you were doing in there?!"

"I don't know, Riley, dancing the damn macarena, what did it look like I was doing?!"

"If you think I was going to stand there and watch you risk everything mom and dad did for you by going out on a limb--"

"Oh yeah, like they did me a huge-ass favor sending me to that place--"

Riley then grabs him by the shirt and shoves him into a chair, glaring with the force to melt metal, "You. Will not go back to that, do you understand me?!"

Jake glared back and shoved him off.

Riley says, "You're the only one doing this to yourself, mom and dad did everything to get you straightened out--"

"Maybe I don't want to be some stuck up saint like you!"

"Oh is that it? You prefer being out on the street getting your face slugged and getting shot, because that's better, isn't it?!"

"Fuck you, Riley, you don't even know what I do out there."

"For all I know?? Getting communicable diseases!"

Jake got up at that point, "I don't have to fucking listen to this--"

Riley shoved him back down so hard the chair almost clattered, "Sit down!!"

Jake was furious, "You're just not going to let up, are you?!"

"No I am not. I'm not going to tell mom and dad about your little truant romp around drugland in the middle of the day, but if I so much as hear your name in that side of town again--"

"You'll what? Tell on me? Oh big brother, I'm shaking in my combat boots."

Riley lunged at him, hand pushed to his chest, "...if you don't get it together, Jake, we're not going to catch you, do you hear me? We're going to let you spiral and you won't have us to keep saving your ass and we'll see how you like it then. We'll cut off all your funds, all your resources. We'll make sure you don't get to use our name anywhere. And then we'll see how tough you are. Without all the niceties mom and dad give you. You're not a street thug, Jake, no matter how much you think you are--you're just a spoiled brat who's decided to be a pain in the ass."

Jake was glaring at him, seeting with rage.

Riley went to a shelf and pickedu up a first aid kit and thrust it at his brother, "Go upstairs and get cleaned up."

Jake threw the kit to the ground and stomped off. Riley glared then stormed off to his music room.

Ace was in the doorway of the music room and said, "...so I take it you two are having a bad day." to which Riley replied, "Don't start with me, Ace."

"You know you're right. ...he tries to be a badass but he's not exactly pre-built as one." Riley glared at him but Ace continued, "...but that doesn't mean that he's throwing everything away on purpose. He can't be doing this on purpose."

"Tell me that again when we have to bail him out of whatever mess he's gotten in."

Ace sighed, "He's just...look, he's angry, you know? He's just made some bad choices here and there but it doesn't make him--"

Riley rolled his eyes, "A bad person, I know."

"He's still your little brother."

"Well don't let him hear you say that, he's not fond of being related to me."

"He did make a mess this time, huh?"

"I'm not telling dad. Or mom. Not right now anyway. At least I got him out of there."

Ace laughed softly, "Having your big brother drag you out like that kind of kills badass points." He got up, "I'll go talk to him."

"Watch out for flying objects."

Ace laughed again, "I can take it," then walked off.

Conversation With Jake

Jake: (storming around the kitchen, tearing cupboards and fridge doors open, scrounging for food)

Riley: (in the kitchen, eating a sandwich, glances at him)

Jake: (grumbling wrathfully, moodier than usual)

Riley: Alright, what is wrong with you?

Jake: (grumbling) You don't want to know.

Riley: (watching him go around the kitchen) Yes, I do.

Jake: (slams fridge door closed) I really really need to get laid, okay?! (storms out)

Riley: ...(grimaces slightly, dusting hands off, mutters) Yeah, I really didn't want to know...

School Life

General Facts

He is fed up at the houses getting the day students in trouble.

He's the elected Day Student Union Leader.

He's a junior.

Member of the Dalton Academy basketball team.

Member of the Dalton Academy karate team.

He's leader of the student tutoring society.

He is student assistant to Dean Ramsey.

Riley plays for the Dalton Academy orchestra.

His grades scoring in the 98th percentile.

Riley'll be candidate for Prom Prince this year.

The Dobry girls see him more often (passing by) than they see the boarders.

He as an immaculate record.

The Day students all respect him and so do the boarders, but the boarders generally have more influence.

Riley isn't going to stand for Dalton much longer.

After the fiasco in the Art Hall and all the mess everyone's getting into, he's decided that it wasn't right for the boarders to be getting away with this kind of behavior. And the day students need to be better considered.

The day students are repeatedly caught in the crossfire of the feuds and problems and dramatics of the boarders, he decided that someone should step up and protect them at the very least and speak for their behalf to the administration.

He wants the day students to be fully considered as a separate unit--like it's own house. He feels that if they're treated as such, they could hold more leverage, or at least as much as any of the individual houses. He feels that, well, the administration and the Houses should just "start giving a shit" about them because damn it, they're all also students of Dalton Academy even if they don't board.

He has fans in Dobry, they think he's gorgeous.

If Riley succeeds in getting Day students their own house (and odds are he will) he'll be the Day Student prefect.

He's point guard in basketball.

Bailey and Riley are in the same geography class.

He lives 25 minutes from school.

Riley would be a Hanover.

If he were to board, he'd want to be in Hanover since it's quieter.

He's a tutor.

The old Day house was called Lancaster, though Riley isn't sure if he should still use that name if they become a house again.

Riley didn't ask to be prefect, the Lancasters just expected it.

Riley is a third generation Dalton student.

Riley likes to study someplace away from the hubbub. There school has big grounds and gardens, and he usually sits at a secluded stone table and bench away from the pandemonium of the borders.

Julian and Riley were lab partners once. He says Riley was serious... and seriously good-looking.

Riley walked Merril arm-in-arm to class once. Spencer wasn't thrilled but Merril found it pleasant.

The Day students ran all sorts of booths at the fair, Riley was one of the candy messengers.

Stuart-Windsor war where Lancaster got caught in it: it'd have to be when they (Lancasters) arrived on South and Main to find that it the the classrooms were full of water. And beach toys. ....and...some fish. Hard to get to the lockers with fish flopping around.

Both his father and grandfather attended Dalton.

Meeting Adam

Well, Julian was in theatre club and Adam tracked him down there. The theatre club was in heated debate--that Julian egged on, really, And Terry took the opportunity to take Julian aside and discuss scripts with him, not for this play, but for another one. Julian. Terry. One room. Heads close. Leaning over a script. I think you see which part of this is bothering Adam.

Anyway, Adam waited until Julian was called out of the room before he went in there and talked to Terry. character in the play he was showing him. He had been a little insistent about it--Terry can be rather particular with his written works --and Adam didn't like that. He strongly discouraged Terry from doing that again, which really just made Terry apprehensive.

Colby materialized at the door, looking for Terry, and he thought there was a problem and asked if there was one. Terry shakily explained the discussion, and Colby kind of laughed and told Adam to chill out. Adam came very, VERY close to him and told him that they were both just looking out for their friends. Colby kind of frowned at that. He said he didnt see what the problem was if Julian wanted to perform a play.

Adam would've answered and probably incriminated himself a little but that was when Riley came by. Since he was outnumbered, Adam just smirked and brushed past Colby and Riley. So they were a little spooked - especially Terry - but nothing actually happened. Adam glared at Riley for interrupting. Adam does not like interruptions...remember? Adam's answer was a glint of a glare that was more like, "Oh, given the chance, I'd do more than just a little nick."

And then left. So no, not a good impression of him left on Riley.

Riley and Dwight

lMelodie, Souvenir d'un lieu cher op 42 was playing, and Riley and Dwight were playing the song together. Riley was playing the violin while Dwight was on the piano. After they stopped playing, Dwight stated "I said it earlier, I say it again--you're going faster than you ought to be for that piece." then Riley calmly replied with "It's not meant to be as melodramatically slow as you prefer it to be.

The maestro prefers it the way I do it." "Well you can tell the maestro I'm still not joining orchestra." "Knowing the way you boarders behave, I imagine you'd salt and burn every instrument in it anyway." "I protect this school, thank you." "Yes, I'm sure. I'll let the maestro know. I knew it was an exercise in futility." then Riley walked out while Dwight glared at him.

Basketball Game

Dalton Kings are off to an early two point lead. Ball is in the Kings' possession. They're headed down to the Vipers' end-- Ball is passed to Colby who puts it in with an alley-oop~! Dalton side bleachers go nuts. Ball in the Vipers' possession now, they're headed for Dalton's basket-- Ball stolen by Riley and now making a fastbreak--!

He dunks it in--score!!! Kings now six points ahead, Vipers are determined to catch up-- Dobry girls swooning in the stands. Kings trying to protect their end, Vipers are on the attack-- Vipers' center makes a three point shot and cleaves the Kings' lead in half! Cy grabs the ball on the rebound, passes to Colby, they're heading back to the Vipers' end--

Ball is passed to Luke, Luke trying to get past the Vipers' power forward-- Luke passes to Colby who swerves past the center, shoots--ball hits the board but doesn't go in! Vipers in possession again and there they go! Colby clearly hissing to himself in anguish, races after them-- Kings trying to defend their basket, Vipers' shooting guard has the ball-- Two minutes left in this quarter-- Vipers are on the attack-- Roar of wrath from the Dalton side as the ball flies--"Foul!!!"

The ball goes in, but the Kings are awarded two foul shots as Colby tries to pick himself up from the ground, snarling. Both free throws go in!! Quarter ends with Dalton on a three-point lead. Kings are on the benches, panting hard and swallowing down gatorade Colby is panting, pushes his wet bangs back. The past halftime, the Vipers were the ones in the lead. Pulled away by eight points. Entering the fourth quarter, the Kings were getting desperate.

They were not leaving this game without a victory. They're starting to keep a close guard on Riley who's earned the most points in the game. The Kings' hope rest on Colby and Jesse. Ball in Vipers' possession, they're headed for the Kings' basket--ball stolen by Cy, pass to Riley who fakes then passes to Colby who sinks a perfect layup. Terry is cheering from the stands with Ace and Isaac. Vipers in possession again, getting the ball on the rebound, they rush to the Dalton basket.

Viper center shoots, misses--! Ball with Kings on the rebound! Dalton scores another basket! Vipers' lead cut in half! Viper coach calls for time out! (heated discussion on the benches) Game resumes. Both teams hold their points down, Vipers still have a four-point lead. Thanks to a great assist, Riley sinks a three-pointer! Clock's ticking. Time is running out--less than a minute left on the clock. Dalton's Jesse gets fouled on an attempt to the basket. Given two shots - both miss.

Dalton stands freaking out. Ace is drumming his fists onto the rails. "COME ON!!" Seconds winding down. Vipers have the ball. The Vipers are charging into the Kings' end! Point guard shoots! Bounces off the board! Kings grab it desperately-- Ball passed by Cy to Colby with seconds left-- Colby shoots from far downtown on a last ditch attempt--bounces on the board IT GOES IN!! TIMES OUT! KINGS WIN!!.

Dalton evacuates the bleachers as the team tackles the boys on the court. Colby is screaming like a lunatic, can't believe what the eff just happened but they won!!! Colby then screamed that he was hosting a party at his house and everyone was invited.
